Winter days bring us extremes of weather—from challenging storms with snow, sleet, and freezing rain—to brilliant clear days with endless vistas.
Winter nights bring us a very different aspect of the season; as the temperature drops, time seems to slow and activity stops. Even the wind rests, while the cosmic panorama wheels slowly overhead—complex patterns of ancient light from a vast universe. For those hearty souls who venture out, it's an experience of contemplative stillness.
On this transmission of Hearts of Space, ambient soundscapes for quiet winter nights, on a program called WINTER : STILL.
Music is by ROBERT JÜRJENDAL & MIGUEL NOYA, GEORGE WALLACE, DARSHAN AMBIENT (R.I.P.), IGNEOUS FLAME, MAX CORBACHO, JUHA-MATTI RAUTIAINEN, STEVE ROACH, and ROBERT SCOTT THOMPSON.
